CAATS covers a lot: central management of agencies, clients and caregivers, automatic matching, digital quotes and contracts, multilingual roles, encrypted communication, e-learning, billing and deployment planning, plus mobile and healthcare IT functions with FHIR and IHE interfaces. Some of this is relevant for a placement agency, some is more for the clinical sector.
HerzensManagement concentrates on the path of a 24-hour care agency: enquiry, needs assessment, matching, rotation, contract, invoice — every step automated, with a publicly stated price of €7 to €11 per active client per month.

On 20 July 2026, bankruptcy proceedings (Konkursverfahren) were opened over the assets of CAATS Service GmbH at the Handelsgericht Wien (Commercial Court of Vienna), case reference 2 S 112/26x, and an insolvency administrator (Masseverwalterin) has been appointed. What this means for the continued operation of the software is something only the provider itself can answer reliably — please ask them directly. We make no assessment of this. If you use CAATS and need planning certainty, you should, regardless of this, make sure of two things: a complete, up-to-date export of your client, caregiver and contract data, and a picture of how a switch would work if it came to it.
